Former champions Goa started with victory in their campaign with a victory in the Western Division round of the Santosh Trophy on Wednesday.
Goa defeated Daman-Diu 2-0 and registered three points. Calvin Barreto scored the first goal in the 32nd minute. Later, in the 55th minute, Jovial Dias strengthened Goa's lead as he scored the second goal.
Goa will face Dadra-Nagar Haveli in their next match of the Santosh Trophy.
