Goa thrashed Haryana in the Men's U-25 State A Trophy on Tuesday, 23 November. The Goan team chased down a massive total to beat Haryana by six wickets. The one-day game was cut short to 20 overs due to rain.
Goa won the toss and elected to bowl first. But the Goan team immediately regretted that decision as V. A. Bharadwaj scored an unbeaten 108 with seven fours and nine sixes. Haryana reached the towering total of 184 runs.
In the second innings, Goa retaliates back as opener Manthan Khutkar and number three batter Kashyap Bakhale came to bat in top form. They put up a massive 132-run partnership to give Goa the perfect start. Manthan scored 67, while Kashyap scored 77.
At the 15-over mark, Haryana broke the Khutkar-Bakhale partnership, which led to a mini-collapse for Goa. Soon the Goan team lost their captain, Suyash Prabhudessai, for the score of five. In the final two overs, Goa needed 21 runs to win.
Finally, Nihal Surlakar and Alam Khan chased down the strenuous target and registered Goa's second victory.
