Tamil Nadu marched towards a big lead against Goa as both openers scored centuries. At the end of the second day in the Cooch Behar Trophy, Tamil Nadu piled up 255 runs and lost two wickets.
Tamil Nadu now has a four-run lead in the match. Earlier, Goa was bowled out for 251 on the second day. Udit Yadav scored 64 runs. He hit four fours and two sixes off 258 balls.
Tamil Nadu made a dominant start to their innings as S. R. Atish - B Sachin scored a 212- run opening partnership. Goa bowling had no answers for the Tamil Nadu openers as Atish scored 115 in 177 balls with 20 boundaries and Sachin added 102 in 190 balls with 19 fours.
In the 56th over, Goa finally got their first breakthrough. Fardeen Khan dismissed S. R. Atish as Izaan Shaikh took the catch. Soon, Goa took another wicket as Deep Kasvankar sent back the other centurion B Sachin. Tamil ended the second day at 255 and lost two wickets in 74.6 overs.
