Goa's Ameya Audi gets podium finish at G H Raisoni Memorial Chess Tournament

Goa's International Master Ameya Audi was runner-up in the second G H Raisoni Memorial All India FIDE Blitz Rating Chess Tournament 2021 in Nagpur.

He continued his incredible run of form after winning two international chess tournaments in Serbia in November.

Ameya was ranked 10th at the two-day event. Ameya defeated the top-ranked Grandmaster of Odisha Debashish Das, FIDE Master Shrishti Pandey from Nagpur and Candidate Master Kushagra Mohan of Telangana. He scored eight points in nine rounds.

Around 343 chess players from all over the country had participated in this tournament.

West Bengal International Master Nilash Saha won the contest with eight and a half points.
