Jewellery shop goes up in flames in Vasco

Officials from the Vaso fire station said a team of the fire station arrived at the scene in 15 minutes and brought it under control.

A major fire broke out at a jewellery shop in Vasco's Apna Bazaar shopping complex on Friday night.

The fire broke out around 10 pm after people saw smoke emitting from jewellery shop.

Officials from the Vaso fire station said a team of the fire station arrived at the scene in 15 minutes and brought it under control. The fire officials said the quantium of loss is yet to be ascertained.

Speaking to media, shop owner alleged that someone is doing this on purpose. He stated he had filed an FIR earlier but no action was taken.
