Bus with 40 passengers topples at Bogmalo

A tourist bus with 40 passengers toppled at Bogmalo on Thursday, December 16. Four people have sustained serious injuries while other tourists have sustained minor injuries. No casualty has been reported.

The accident occurred in the afternoon. The police said that after coming down from the beach, the bus was heading towards Dabolim. The driver then lost control of the vehicle and it toppled near the church. Locals and bystanders helped passengers out. Police and fire brigade rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation.

All the injured passengers have been transferred to Chicalim health centre for treatment.
