Anjuna police arrest a person for stelling from a tourist's vehicle

Approximately about 68,000 items including iPhones, were kept in the trunk of the two-wheeler.

The Anjuna police on Friday, January 7, arrested a young man named Mubeen Khan from Bicholim for stealing a camera, iPhone and other items from a storage compartment of a scooter at Vagator.

According to the police, Arjun Goyal, a tourist from Delhi who landed at a hilltop at Vagator to participate in a music fesvitsl, had filed a complaint on December 29 that unidentified person had stolen his belongings including a camera worth Rs 40,000 from his rented scooter that was parked at Vagator. The suspect Mubeen Khan broke the compartment of the vehicle took away all his items.

The police upon set up a trap for the suspected thief upon receiving the information that a person had put up a camera for sale online.

Police seized a stolen camera, and other items. The suspect is being held in Custody. Police is conducting further investigation into the matter.
