Mapusa Police on Monday, December 26, arrested a casting agent on charges of threatening, sexual assaulting and stealing money from a model.
The accused has been identified as Wajid Mansoori, 34 and a resident of Mumbai.
According to Police, the accused called a 25- year old model from Goa to his rented flat in mapusa, threatened and sexually assaulted her. The accused also grabbed Rs 40,000 from her bag.
The victim was lured by the casting agency with a good role and assurances of a safe location to stay in Goa.
The victim approached the police later that day and informed them of the event. According to the police, crimes under sections 342, 323, 376, and 380 of the Indian Penal Code have been filed against the accused.
The investigation of this case is further carried by women sub-inspector Rupali Govekar under the guidance of PI Tushar Lotlikar.
