PANAJI: V M Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE) based at Raia, renewed and extended the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Turismo de Portugal during the visit of President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa while on a State visit to India.
The MoU was signed by prof Irfan Mirza, director/principal of VMSIIHE and Louis Araujo, head of Turismo de Portugal (TBC), in the presence of President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Dipti D Salgaocar, vice president Corporate Communication VM Salgaocar Corporation and Ajit M Gude, director, V M Salgaocar Corporation at a ceremony held at Cidade de Goa, Dona Paula.
Besides knowledge exchange programmes between the two countries, the MoU will now also include collaborative efforts in internships designed to strengthen a student’s learning experience by integrating on-campus studies with closely related work experience at reputed starred hotels.
