The United colors of Benetton (UCB) is all set to paint Porvorim’s Chogm road red with its latest addition to town – an eighth store! The list of Benetton outlets to shop at has expanded with the latest store being inaugurated at Porvorim on Thursday, August 24, 2023.
Located on the Chogam road in Porvorim, the building that houses the new store is inspired by The Palazzo del Capitanio (also known as Loggia Del Capitanio in Vicenza, Italy).
With a rustic exterior and fashionable interiors, the store has been designed to reflect the vibrant and breezy state of Goa. There is so much to admire once you have entered the store, right from all the attractive colours, tasteful interior placements and all that on sale, to the eye-catching graffiti wall art which was inspired by the streets of Fontainhas.
The graffiti has been painted by a local Goan artist, Kartik A Sharma, who brought the brand's vision to life by portraying Benetton’s world through the Goan lens.
“We see great potential in Goa as a market and are committed to bringing high-quality Italian fashion to the customers,” says Ramprasad Sridharan, CEO of United Colors of Benetton India.
The concept of the store is derived from the first UCB store which is located at Oxford Street in London, where the store not only stocks complete range of Benetton menswear, womenswear and kids but also Casa Benetton, which has house elements such as informal lounge and hi-tech spaces across the store to offer ultimate brand and shopping experience.
He further adds, “The store has been designed on the London concept which depicts Benetton’s progressive yet minimal design, aesthetic and all elements have been adapted and conceptualized to the local sensibilities.”
“The key element of the brand is sustainability," he continued, while adding that the Benetton Group also plans for the future and lives in the present with a watchful eye on the environment (sourcing approximately 60% sustainable cotton). Some of the most important pillars that form UCB comprise of color, authentic fashion, quality at democratic prices and passion for work, he said.
Sridharan further explained, “The brand is known to withstand the test of time. We don’t call ourselves a fast fashion brand but moreover a democratic fashion brand”. Benetton is also known for the comfort their clothing provides and their knitwear collection.
Adding a personal touch has also been made possible with their ‘personalisation centre’ which is all set to provide a personal touch which enables customers to get their clothing and other items customised as per their choice, with their initials embroidered into their piece of clothing which takes gifting to a whole another level!
The entire store is furnished with a wooden feel which includes the trial rooms that are made up of wood veneers and walls of retail area which are cladded in Fermacell board.
The store's basic agenda is to offer an ultimate brand experience that goes beyond the traditional idea of the shop. Overall the look and feel of the store has been elevated to provide a premium brand experience.
