MARGAO: The Fatorda police on Wednesday registered a case against two persons for organising bull-fight in an open place subjecting cruelty to animals. The police said that Charlie Fernandes of Majorda and Joao Araujo from Dogerwaddo-Fatorda with their common intention allegedly organised bull fight at Bandh-Fatorda for entertainment of general public, subjecting cruelty to animals. They also endangered life of public members gathered around the open field. Both the acused owned the bulls, which they had brought to organise dhirio. A case has been registered against the two under section 336 and 429 read with 34 of IPC and under the relevant sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
