In the upcoming Ranji Trophy cricket season, Goa  will take on the formidable Tamil Nadu after two decades in January 2022.

When Goa was part of the South Division of the Ranji Trophy, they played 17 matches against Tamil Nadu but never managed to defeat them. Goa’s record against Tamil Nadu comprises zero wins, 12 defeats and five draws.

The last Ranji Trophy match between the two teams was played at Guru Nanak College Ground in November. On the last day of the match, Avadhut Amonkar and Avinash Aware batted hard in the second innings to help Goa and push for the draw.

Goa will also take on former Ranji Trophy champions Railways after 15 years. The match will be played in Ahmedabad from 10 to 13 February, 2022.

The last encounter between these teams was in the Ranji Trophy plate group in November 2007. The match was played at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium and ended in a draw.
