Following the protest outside the house of Nuvem MLA Aleixo Sequeira on Wednesday by Congress party volunteers, several policemen were seen deployed outside the building of BJP leader Digambar Kamat on Thursday morning. They are believed to be stationed to avoid any protest activities.
The Congress MLAs who shifted sides smoothly from the Congress to the BJP recently are now facing the music from Congress supporters these days. Earlier on Wednesday, several Congress supporters staged a protest outside the Nuvem MLA’s house in Raia.
Sensing tension, the Margao police made their presence outside the residential building of MLA Digambar Kamat on Thursday morning. There was, however, no sign of any protestors outside Kamat’s residence in Malbhat, Margao, while Kamat himself was not at his residence due to prior engagements.
