The Se Old Goa panchayat on Thursday, December 23, revoked the licence for the controversial construction structure that has come up in heritage precincts of St Cajetan church.

The decision to revoke the license was approved by a majority in the fortnightly meeting of the Panchayat.

It should be recalled that Old Goa panchayat had initially issued a stop-work order in November to Jose Maria De Gouveia de Pinto, Survarna Suraj Lotlikar and Sumermal Jain of Corvus Urban Infrastructures ltd

Earlier, Town and country planning minister Chandrakant Kavlekar had asked the Old Goa panchayat to initiate the necessary action and demolish the illegal structure.
