In South Goa's Curtorim, Maria Dias is nervously awaiting her son whose son is stranded in war-torn Ukraine.
Dias says her 22-year-old son Jomarc Dias went to Ukraine five months ago in search of a job but with bad luck, he found himself in a war.
Dias says they communicate as often as they can, but Jomarc’s internet connection can be shaky.
Dias is hopeful of her son's return as he has already reached Poland. 'By the grace of God, my son has arrived safely in Poland. "We have made arrangements for him so that he does not get stuck in Poland due to lack of money."
Dias hopes he can come home soon. "We want him to reach Goa as soon as possible," she says.
