In an incident at Porvorim on Saturday, a man was found bashing and damaging a tourist taxi which was moving towards Dabolim airport. Police informed that the person seen in the video is mentally unsound, and he has been referred to IPHB, Bambolim.

Saturday morning, social media platforms were flooded with a viral video in which a man was seen blocking a hatchback tourist taxi and then bashing it aggressively with a hammer. The visual content was so aggressive and intense that for a second people believed that something drastically wrong had happened and that had triggered this person to take the extreme step of damaging a car in the middle of a busy road in Porvorim.

When contacted, Vishwesh Karpe, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Porvorim, informed us that the person seen in this viral video is recognised as Lucky, a resident of Porvorim. DySP further said that there is no logical reason for this person to damage this vehicle. This person named Lucky is mentally unsound. He has been referred to the IPHB, Bambolim, by the police, Karpe added.

Meanwhile, Anant Gaonkar, PI, Porvorim revealed that Lucky is mentally unfit and therefore became involved in a hostile act. If it had been some other vehicle, it would have ended up being damaged in a similar way," Gaonkar added. The car driver is safe and without any injury.
