Goa has reported a rise in Covid-19 infections. The daily case count, which had stayed below 50 all through November, has breached the 100-mark.
On Wednesday, Goa reported 170 new Covid cases with a daily case positivity rate rising to 5.25 per cent after staying below 1 per cent on most days in November.
Goa's Covid active caseload has doubled to 657 within 24 hours.
The Margao urban health centre's active tally has climbed to 67 while Cansaulim has active case tally is at 56. Health Centres in Chinchinim and Cortalim has recorded a rise in infections.
In North Goa, active cases of Panaji urban health centre rose to 90. The primary health centre of Porvorim 39.
With zero mortality, the fatality count has remained at 3,521 and the recovery rate 97.68 per cent. As many as 48 recovered were recorded in the last 24 hours.
Two South Goa weddings, one of them with a group of guests from the UK, were identified as the clusters responsible rise in the number of Covid cases.
