Goa reported 11 Covid-19 deaths and 500 fresh instances of the infection

The number of Covid-19 cases in Goa dropped further. There were 500 fresh cases reported in Monday’s health bulletin, over 326 cases short of the previous day’s 826 when the active cases tally dropped below the 10,000-mark for the first time since the current surge began.
Daily infections on Monday were the lowest since the beginning of January.
The positivity rate – the proportion of samples tested that return positive – stood dropped further at 18.80 per cent on Monday with just 2659 tests conducted.
Goa also recorded 11 deaths due to the infection on Monday, up from 7 the previous day.
As many as 33 people were hospitalised and 33 were discharged in the last 24 hours.
The Weekly district positivity rate between January 22 to January 28 was 40.8 per cent for North Goa and 35.8 for South Goa.
