Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on his first visit to Delhi after the formation of the new government.
The visit was informed to the public via a tweet from CM Sawant's official twitter handle. The tweet said, "Called on the Hon'ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation Shri @AmitShah ji at New Delhi today on my first visit to the Capital after formation of the New Government."
During his visit, the Chief Minister met with some of the Union Ministers and discussed issues concerning Goa and its citizens. However, PM Narendra Modi was not available to meet Sawant since the former was in Gujurat to inaugurate the Global AYUSH and Innovation Summit. Recently, he laid the foundation stone for the first-of-its-kind Global Centre for Traditional Medicine. This project is done in collaboration between the World Health Organisation and the Ministry of Ayush
CM Sawant returned to Goa on Wednesday late evening.
