Arvind Kejriwal vows jobs, Rs 3,000 every month to unemployed youth

Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who arrived in Goa yesterday, said on Tuesday that every youth would be employed if his party formed the government in Goa and announced seven plans for job creation in the state.

He promised Rs 3,000 per month as unemployment allowance, which an individual would continue to avail until he/she gets a job and Rs 5000 per month to those employed in mining and tourism sectors till industries resume. “The government will provide a job to each unemployed youth in a family. And until he or she gets a job, the government will provide Rs 3,000 per month as an allowance,” he said.

Kejriwal, who was addressing a press conference in Mapusa, also promised that the government will reserve 80 per cent of jobs in the private sector for Goans. “We will bring a law to reserve 80 per cent of jobs in the private sector for Goans after AAP forms a government in Goa in 2022,” said Kejriwal.

Taking a dig at the BJP, Kejriwal said, “I heard that CM Sawant is giving free water and doorstep delivery, we had already done that four years ago in Delhi. I think he is copying our initiative. So when the original; is available, there is no need for duplicate,”

On Monday, the AAP supremo had met with party leadership and Goans to feel their pulse and guide party workers for 2022 polls. He had met several party leaders, including a delegation of the Bhandari Samaj.

Earlier, on his first visit to the state in July, the AAP chief had announced 300 units of free electricity for each household if voted to power.
