Goa will see a strengthening of global connections with the launch of direct scheduled flights to Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport (TAS), operated by Uzbekistan Airways, from Manohar International Airport (GOX), developed and operated by GMR Goa International Airport Ltd (GGIAL).
This new route between Goa and Tashkent increases travel options for tourists from both destinations.
The flights will be biweekly, that is, scheduled every Wednesday and Sunday. A narrow-body Airbus A320 or equivalent aircraft will be used to fly tourists back and forth.
Uzbekistan Airways also offer one-stop connections to key cities in Russia and Europe. This will provide convenient travel opportunities for Goa’s outbound travellers.

Mopa airport welcomed 111 passengers at 10.55 am. The flight then departed for Tashkent at 12.15 pm with 84 passengers, kicking off ease of travel between the two culturally rich locations.
