Fatorda MLA Vijay Sardesai on Thursday, December 16, warned of agitation against public works department officials and BJP government for obstructing the implementation of sanctioned projects.

Addressing media persons at the induction ceremony of youth leader Viraj Naik and his supporters into Goa Forward Party, President Vijai Sardesai said that a projects like Opinion Poll Square was planned at Borda, but government officials are obstructing it.

"I will be talking to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant about this. Secondly, I would like to tell the PWD officials not to act at the behest of the BJP government and not to stop work in Fatorda for no reason. They will have to face action and a judicial inquiry," Sardesai said.

Sardesai also criticised BJP, stating that the ruling BJP has turned to "Corrupt Janata Party" and now its become the "Rapist Janata Party" after a minister resigned over allegations of sexual scandal.

He stated that BJP workers with morals and principles would not accept such politicians before the elections. "Will BJP supporters accept such leaders? The people now have the option of electing a Goan government," he said.

"We have seen BJP's corruption in the ongoing job scams. I do not understand why the people's representatives join the party which is also protecting the rapists. BJP government has also raped the environment and it has been exposed," he added,

Sardesai alleged that the central leader of BJP has declared Goa as the capital of casinos and are buying MLA's by money from lobby.

Aiming at the local BJP leadership in Fatorda, Sardesai said that the BJP leaders were attempting to compete with the Scheduled Tribes by organizing their own 'Fatordekar' programme, citing the fact that over 400 Scheduled Tribes youths had joined Goa Forward and participated in the programme called 'Mul Goenkaracho Ekvott'.
