Newly elected BJP MLA of Vasco constituency, Krishna (Daji) Salkar, held a victory rally along with hundreds of supporters on Sunday.
Krishna Salkar, who defeated Congres's Jose Luis Carlos Almeida to win Vasco, started his rally from Varunapuri. The victory procession went covered Mangur Hill, Bayana, Brahmasthal, Ravindra Bhavan, Vasco city area, Driver Hill, and ended at Navewade. A
Deepak Naik, Jayant Jadhav, Rupesh Palayekar, Krishna Satardekar, Gaurish Naik and hundreds of BJP workers were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Salkar said, "Voters have made me an MLA for the development which was stagnant in Vasco. O will work for the development of Vasco in the next five years,"
He said underground power lines will be installed in Vasco to alleviate power outages during monsoons and other occasions.
He promised that the salary of the workers of Mormugao Municipality will be paid on time,
"The financial problems of the municipality should be removed and other problems should be removed with the help of the government and the Minister of Urban Development," said Salkar.
"I will definitely have the support of the Government, the Chief Minister and other Ministers for the development of Vasco over the next five years. For the last ten years, the development of Vasco has been hampered by public outcry, and voters have backed me to make this development happen in the future," he added.
Salkar said his priority would be to repair the roads and he will also begin the launch of the Kadamba Vasco bus stand for the people.
"Vasco's roads are in disrepair. So, first of all, we will try to repair the roads. For this, a meeting will be held with the officials of the road department of the construction department. Many stalled projects in Vasco will be completed. The Vasco-Kadamba bus stand project will also be launched," he said.
