Five-time MLA and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Churchill Alemao on Tuesday, January 11, said that if National Congress Party (NCP) forms an alliance with TMC, the NCP will be given four seats for the 2022 Goa Assembly elections.
Speaking to media persons, the Former NCP leader said, "The Trinamool Congress will form an alliance with the NCP in the forthcoming Assembly elections in Goa and if that happens, the NCP will be given four seats. NCP state president Jose Philippe D'Souza has spoken to us and talks are at early stage"
He further said that in the event of an alliance with TMC, Jose D'souza will contest from Dabolim seat.
Alemao also expressed his displeasure that no action has been taken on the illegal construction in Old Goa, even though it has been three months since it was announced that the illegal construction will be demolished.
"The Chief Minister should keep his word otherwise people will teach him a lesson in elections. If this construction is not demolished, then it will be difficult to even get five BJP candidates elected," Alemao said
In Goa, Bajrang Dal members are raising their heads again, they are trying to stir up religious strife, Alemao said, adding that government should expel such bigoted people in the of Assembly elections.
Churchill Alemao was Goa's lone Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA and joined Trinamool Congress in December.
