Revolutionary Goans (RG) announced on Friday, January 14, that Manoj Parab will be RG’s Chief Minister candidate in next month's Goa Assembly election 2022.
The party also announced that she will contest the elections from two seats - Valpoi and Tivim.
"I am contesting fromTivim for two reasons, one is because it is where I was brought up and it is my village, and two, because of BJP that is spoiling and destroying Goa," Parab said.
Parab also took swipe at the BJP, challenging the ruling party to defeat him. "The two-party heads from BJP, Satish Dhonde and Sadanand Tanavade. who are both from my village, my challenge to both of them since they claim that BJP is powerful is that they should try to retain their seat at both Goa and National level because we the Revolutionary Goans will defeat them during this elections."
On Thursday, RG severed its tied with the Goa Su-Raj party (GSRP), with which it had tied up to contest the upcoming elections. GSRP accused the party of backstabbing it and keeping it in dark about RG's symbol registration process while RG refuted all the allegations, saying that they had to sever ties because of favouritism shown by GSRP for some candidates.
