Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is scheduled to visit Goa on December 13. This would be her second visit to Goa in less than two months with Assembly elections in the state due early next year.

The TMC supremo's nephew and party MP Abhishek Banerjee would accompany her on the second visit to the poll-bound state.

The details regarding Banerjee's visit and her programme scheduled would be revealed later, a senior party functionary said on Thursday.

The West Bengal chief minister had last visited the state in October last week.

During her three-day visit to Goa in October that was aimed at bolstering the Trinamool Congress’ profile in the state’s political landscape, Banerjee had attended a number of events.

She also reached each out to fishermen and civil society members in the state. She also visited three temples: Mangueshi Temple at Priol, the Mahalsa Narayani Temple at Mardol and the Tapobhoomi Temple at Cundaim in Ponda.

The TMC has decided to contest all the 40 Assembly seats in Goa.
