Kicking off the election campaign for BJP in Goa, the party's national president JP Nadda on Thursday said the central government is committed to the development of Goa.
Nadda was addressing party workers at Amona in Sankhali on his second visit to the poll-bound state. The State Assembly is slated to be held early next year. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Union Minister Shripad Naik, BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanawade and BJP's Goa Election In charge T. Ravi were also present on the stage.
Addressing the BJP workers, Nadda said, "Justice, truth and development is the religion of Bhartiya Janta Party. For this, once again choose BJP. While working for this religion, in many places, ungodly forces are coming to the fore. These ungodly forces should be brought on the path of Dharma because "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas" is the motto of BJP.
Nadda said in order for Goa to have a substantial contribution in the development of the country, the workers should strive to bring the BJP government to power in Goa once again.
He also said BJP has always given priority to God, country and religion. The country is making progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chief Pramod Sawant also addressed the party workers and expressed confidence that BJP will come back to power in Goa by getting more than 22 seats.
"It is a matter of happiness for the BJP workers that the BJP's election preparations in Goa are being started from Sankhali constituency. The BJP is ready to face the elections in Goa on the strength of the development done by the central and state Governments and the hard work of the workers," he said.
