Several exit polls forecast a hung assembly with Congress and Bharatiya Janta Party in a neck-and-neck battle to emerge as the single largest party in Goa
Exit polls on Times now, Jan ki bat and India today-Axis My India showed the Congress- GFP Alliance (NDA) will emerge as a single largest party while ABP news, News-x-polystrate, C-voter predicted that BJP will emerge as the single largest party in the state on March 10.
According to India Today-Axis My India exit polls, the Congress-GFP alliance is set to win 15-20 seats and the BJP is predicted to bag 14-18 seats. It also predicted that the TMC-MGP alliance will win 2-5 seats and others get 0-4 seats.
Jan ki Bat has predicted 14-19 seats to Congress while BJP will bag 13-19 seats. MGP-TMC alliance will get 1-2 seats and AAP will get 3-5 seats.
The seat share according to Times Now exit poll is 16 for Congress, 14 for BJP, 4 for AAP and 6 for others.
The BJP is predicted to have 13-17 seats according to ABP news and Congress will emerge victorious on 12-16 seats. It also predicted 1-5 seats for AAP and 5-9 seats for TMC-MGP and 0-2 seats for others.
According to C-voter, BJP is predicted to bag 13-17 seats and Congress 12-16 seats while TMC-MGP will win 5-9 seats and others will bag 0-2 seats.
The News-X-Polstrat exit poll gave BJP 17-19 seats, Congress 11-13 seats, AAP 1-4 seats and others 2-7 seats.
For the 40 Assembly seats, there were 332 candidates in the fray. Goa voted on February 14. The Congress is fighting the elections in alliance with the Goa Forward party while BJP is contesting elections alone for the first time in history. Trinamool Congress is an alliance with Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party while the Aam Adami Party is contesting alone.
