Former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat on Tuesday openly challenged the BJP party to release a Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report on the mining to back the allegations of Rs 35,000 crore scam.
Digambar Kamat dared PM Narendra Modi and BJP national president JP Nadda to release a Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report, which mentions the Rs 35 crore scam of mining in the state.
Earlier, BJP had accused Kamat of illegal mining scam when he was chief minister.
"Prime Minister Modi will be in Goa on Thursday. BJP has an opportunity to release PAC report with Rs 35,000 crore scam referred to in 2011 by then leader of opposition Manohar Parrikar," Kamat tweeted.
On January 29, Goa Congress president Girish Chodankar had also demanded the BJP government to make the report public.
Kamat said that the reports of the PAC never existed and was nothing more than a scam of BJP's fraud and deception. "I believe in God and the truth never remains hidden", Digambar said, adding that he expects BJP to present some facts and figures regarding this matter.
