BJP MLA Michael Lobo joins Congress campaign at Guirim
He acknowledged the trend of MLAs changing parties mid-term by stating that an MLA should stay committed to one party. ”They shouldn’t be getting leader from here and there just to form a party and show that the party is strong “,he said.
Lobo advice the people of Goa to think and vote before the Election Commission comes to Goa for the poll, which is 34 days away.
While addressing the audience, Congress leader Kedar Naik said, ”Few days back, ‘Together for Saligao’ meeting was held and 99.9% of the seats were occupied and today the same support can be seen at today's campaign.
Kedar Naik, sarpanch of Reis Magos village panchayat, had left BJP on Wednesday to join the Congress with his supporters in Saligaon. Naik had earlier proclaimed that he and Lobo have a good relation. In reply, Lobo called Naik a friend and added that he has friends across parties. “That doesn’t mean I am going to support this person or that person,” Lobo said.
Even though Lobo has maintained that he has said nothing about leaving the BJP, his latest actions are sure to increase the buzz over his potential exit from BJP.
