Deputy Chief Minister Manohar 'Babu' Ajgaonkar said he is confident of securing a win from Margao with 80 per cent of votes polling in his favour.
"In Margao, I personally got in touch with 12,000 voters and everyone supported me. According to estimate, around 80 per cent voters in Margao will support me," Ajgonkar said
"BJP workers are loyal, so are the BJP voters. Once BJP is elected, the development of Margao will occur with the trust of party workers and Madgaonkar," he added.
Taking a dig at the opposition parties, Ajgaonkar stated that an illusion was created in Margao that BJP's votes would split.
Expressing confidence, Ajgoankar said that the hardwork of the party workers in his campaign will pay off and BJP will win Fatorda and Margao when the results will be declared on March 10.
BJP spokesperson Sharmad Pai Raiturkar claimed that if Congress is focusing on Postal ballot then they should also inform which seats they are winning according to them.
He also stated that if Congress was sure about winning then its candidates would have not gone to some parts of Margao after the elections to ascertain the division of votes.
