Aaditya Thackeray slams BJP in Goa, says 'give Shiv Sena a chance'

Maharashtra's Minister of Tourism and Environment and Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray on Friday. January 11, slammed the ruling BJP government in Goa and appealed people to give a chance to Shiv Sena.

Addressed a public meeting at Railway Community Hall in Vasco, Thackeray said, "We are here to hear the voices of those whose voices do not reach us. Shiv Sena, which has been fighting for the rights of the people, has been winning their trust for years and will continue to do so. Even for the Goa assembly elections, Shiv Sainik is firmly standing with the people of Goa for their rights."

The Shiv Sena leader said Goa attracts tourists from all over the world, but the locals in Goa are being ignored. Goa's development has unfortunately led to environmental degradation. ‘’Have the Goans benefitted or the contractors during the 10-year rule? " he asked.

"The ministers in power and at the Centre are now coming to Goa and giving promises, yet nothing was done for the last 10 years," he questioned.

He also gave a new slogan "Goa's glory, bow and arrow" (incidentally, bow and arrow is Shiv Sena’s poll symbol).

"Goa has a particular bond with the Shiv Sena. Many Maharashtrians worship their family gods in Goa. The Shiv Sena has come to serve the people of the area. We haven't come here merely to vote, but to continue working with the people of Goa," Aaditya explained. He clamied that the Shiv Sena has entered the race for Goa's bright future and that the party would make a name for itself in the state.

Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray is on a two-day visit to Goa ahead of assembly elections.

The Shiv Sena, which has allied with the NCP, has fielded candidates in nine seats and aims to strengthen its position in Goa.

Thackeray urged people to fall into the false promises and appealed to give a chance to the new government by giving a chance to Shiv Sena in Goa.
