LUB presents Goa MSME Adhiveshan growth agenda

The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector has emerged as a highly vibrant and dynamic sector in India.

To ensure high growth and productivity for Goan MSME businesses, Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) Goa Chapter will be hosting the Goa MSME Adhiveshan on January 6, 2023, from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm, at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula – Goa. 

The event will feature sessions by union ministers and industrial experts on MSME policies, business branding tools, technology for business automation, identifying non-conventional sources of finance, the why and how of exports, an action plan for the growth of MSMEs, business opportunities for MSMEs during Amritkal and much more in the presence of CM Dr Pramod Sawant, Union Minister for MSME Narayan Rane, Union Minister of State for Finance Dr Bhagwat Karad and Minister of Industries and Transportation (Goa) Mauvin Godinho. 

Laghu Udyog Bharati is a registered all-India organisation of Micro and Small Industries in India since 1994. Today Laghu Udyog Bharati has its membership spread over the length and breadth of the country. It has membership in more than 789 plus districts all over the country. 

In a genuine effort to organise the MSME sector, Laghu Udyog Bharati is working towards policy advocacy and ease of doing business by way of offering ground-level feedback to state and central governments in policy and procedural improvement.

To raise awareness on the vision of the event, National Vice President of LUB Ravindra Sonawane, State President of LUB Goa Rajkumar Kamat, State Vice President of LUB Goa Manoj Patil, State General Secretary of LUB Goa Arman Bankley, State Jt Secretary of LUB Goa Mudit Agarwaal, Assistant General Manager, Head - Retail and Mid Corporate Centre, Punjab National Bank - Goa Rakesh Kumar and State Treasurer of LUB Goa Mandar Mhapsekar briefed the media in a press conference today.

Punjab National Bank - Goa is the associate partner of Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) Goa Chapters MSME Adhiveshan. Vijay Dube, the executive director of Punjab National Bank and title sponsor of Goa LUB, will address the Adhiveshan on the “Role of Banking in MSME Growth”.

 Rajkumar Kamat addressed the media regarding the vision of the event, “We want to give Goan MSMEs the opportunities to grow in their industry. Goa is a business-centric state. While many businesses are already flourishing, many more are coming up, and hence this event will hold the answers to many questions for business owners and entrepreneurs alike. We at LUB envision every business owner growing and scaling their business with the right knowledge with the help of countless experts and sources.”

Kamat further added, "While GSIA and GCCI are doing a great job of engaging with the state government, there is a need to also take up MSME-related issues with the central government. The LUB Goa will be primarily focusing on this aspect as well as supporting the growth of MSMEs in Goa."

Ravindra Sonawane stated, “We have created history in the MSME industry, and it is time to make way for more achievements. Every achievement witnessed and pulled through from our side makes you understand how to grow your business.”

Arman Bankley mentioned that the event will have countless experts who will help business owners and entrepreneurs with the knowledge of the latest technologies and business branding. While Mudit Agarwaal said that technical industrial knowledge provided by experts will help MSMEs modernise and gain advancement in their respective fields. 

The following sessions and panel discussions will commence throughout the timeline of the event:

 Nitin Kunkolienkar, President Emeritus – MAIT, will call attention to “Amritkal – Opportunities for Goan MSMEs”.

Ajay Thakur, Head - of SME and Startups at BSE India, will bring out and underline points of “Growing through BSE SME IPO”.

Dr Rajat Srivastava, Director and Regional Head, EEPC India, Mumbai will speak about “Why & How of Exports”.

Amit Kumar, co-founder and CEO of MSMEx, serial entrepreneur and Angel investor, will further highlight the series of “Unlocked 20x Value through Equity Fundraising”.

Ameya Mohane, IIM alumnus and leading brand consultant with 15 plus years of experience will highlight points on a “Brand Weapon for SME Growth”.

Kewal Kishan, a business administration coach and TEDx speaker will focus on points of “Anytime, Anywhere Business Process Automation”.

The panel discussion, which will be moderated by Harshvardhan Bhatkuly and Damodar Kochkar, GSIA President, along with other dignitaries, will deliberate upon the “Action Plan for Growth of MSMEs”.
