Goa, a beautiful Western Indian state which lies along the Arabian Sea, is unquestionably famous for its sunny beaches.
If you're wondering which beach to pick for your relaxing holiday, here are a few that you can consider while you make your plans for a Goan getaway.
Agonda Beach
This splendid beach is located in Canacona in South Goa. Agonda is around 3 kilometres long. This peaceful beach is not crowded as it's not famous among tourists. It is also known for its turtle nesting.
No matter what time you head to this beach, it is always peaceful and relaxing.
Another thing about this beach that makes it peaceful, is that there are no hawkers around. So, you can have a delightful evening at the beach not being bothered.
Take a stroll on this uncluttered beach or take a swim in the clear waters of Agonda Beach. Evenings spent on this beach are simply phenomenal. Agonda has a number of hotels surrounding it for you to check into.
Kakolem Beach
This beach is located around 7 kilometres from Cabo de Rama in South Goa. It is considered an isolated beach with a magnificent view. To get to this isolated beach, one has to go off the road.
Since there is not much of a crowd there, you can enjoy a nice private time. The sight from the peak is breathtaking; you can see the vast ocean and the beach clearly.
There are a few accommodation options around the area, not too close to the beach.
Galgibaga Beach
This beach is located in Canacona, South Goa. It is considered the most peaceful beach in Goa.
The reason behind this beach’s beauty and soundless vibe is that it is a turtle nesting site, and hence there is no loud music, sunbeds or shacks found on the beach.
You will also see pine-like trees that line the back of the beach, which provide a nice shade to sit under and embrace the beauty around.
The route to get to this serene is narrow. So, ensure you ride or drive safely.

Morjim Beach
Morjim Beach is said to be one of the quietest beaches in North Goa. Morjim is also called little Russia since there are many Russian tourists. The sign boards outside restaurants are not only in English but also in Russian.
Morjim is also famous for its nesting site of olive ridley turtles. While at the beach you can enjoy the sunset, take a walk or jog along the beach. At one end of the beach, you can see the Chapora edge.
There are several options for accommodation around Morjim Beach. The best time to visit the beach is either early morning or late afternoon.
Keri Beach
Keri beach is on the border of Maharashtra. It is the northernmost beach in Goa. The solitude and serenity of the beach make it a nice location for a relaxing vacation.
Across Keri Beach is the famous Tiracol Fort from the Portuguese era. To reach this fort, there is a ferry service which runs through and from, every hour.
There are a few shacks where you can get some good Goan cuisine. There are some places for accommodation around Keri too.
You can also stay at the Tiracol Fort as it is refurbished and converted into a hotel. It is advised not to swim at Keri Beach as the sea is quite rough and it has a rocky coastline
But the view and greenery around the beach are splendid.
