Keeping this in mind, Salgaocar Medical Research Centre's (SMRC) V M Salgaocar Hospital is conducting an exclusive community health service camp on pulmonary, dermatology and cosmetology ailments on April 15, 2023.
Located in Chicalim, SMRC’s V M Salgaocar Hospital is known to be the first state-of-the-art hospital in Goa.
The first session at the camp will held from 10 am to 1 pm and the second from 2 pm to 5 pm. There will also be free consultations for common pulmonary, dermatology and cosmetology ailments.
Taking into consideration sizable number of patients suffering from various health problems in Goa, who are either unaware of their condition or do not receive proper medical attention, the camp will also be organizing a health awareness seminar with experienced doctors and specialists who will talk on early detection and prevention.
Seeing the lack of knowledge about the causes and treatment options available, there is a dire need for spreading awareness on health ailments.
The seminar will be hosted by SMRC’s Dr Ajay Rao, a pulmonologist, who will educate the attendees about asthma, sleep apnea, tuberculosis, post-covid syndrome, lung infections and other related illnesses.
Dermatologist and cosmetologist, Dr Preeti Savardekar, will shed light on various skin infections, acne, anti-ageing, wrinkle control, stretch marks, fungal infections, hair-loss and other ailments along with the different treatment options that can be availed.
The camp aims at fostering a healthier lifestyle by helping people understand the triggers, causes, prevention and treatment by systemcatically assessing their health conditions and individually curating a treatment plan for every patient while ensuring personalised care.
