This Sunday in Goa: Origami habitats workshop and fishing contest

ORIGAMI HABITATS WORKSHOP

Getting in touch with nature in a creative way is anything, but common. And, if that’s what you’re looking for, here’s a fun way to do both.

The Museum of Christian Art (MOCA), Old Goa, is organising the ‘Origami Habitats Workshop’ on Oct 22, 2023, at the museum.

The workshop promises to be a paper-folding adventure, where participants can bring their favourite animals to life. In addition to that, participants will also learn to craft a mini habitat for the origami animals using recycled materials.

The workshop will also include a short walk where participants will get to observe butterflies which are commonly seen in Goa.

The workshop is open to anyone who is 5 years and above – kids as well as adults.

AAMHI GOENKAR’S FISHING TOURNAMENT

Anyone who enjoys fishing can participate in a fishing contest this Sunday in Panjim. Aamhi Goenkar presents their 3rd Annual Fishing Tournament on Oct 22, 2023 in Panjim. The event is open to the general public, and from any part of Goa.

Participants are required to bring their own equipment such as fishing rods, bait etc. Snacks will be provided at the venue, while plenty of prizes are up for grabs.

PRIZES

  • 1st Prize: ₹ 7,000 + trophy

  • 2nd Prize: ₹ 5,000 + trophy

  • 3rd Prize: ₹ 3,000 + trophy

  • There will also be loads of special prizes
