Where to find it - Ponda

Rivona also known as the Pandava caves are located in South Goa at about 5 kilometers northeast of Ponda. It is said that it was formed during the 6th or 7th century by the dBuddhists monks. This cave has a very huge importance in the Hindu mythology as it is believed that Lord Hanuman had set his foot in these caves. It is also said that there is a rock sculpture which is made by a Buddhist monk cut out of laterite stone.

2) Pequeno (Bat Island)

Where to find it - Baina Beach

Pequeno island also known as the Bat Island is about a kilometer away from the Baina Beach in Vasco da Gama. Pequeno also means little or small in Portuguese. The island is surrounded by coral reefs and is a great place for snorkling. The island is also close to the Grand Island and the St George Island. Also, if your stars align, you can spot a school of dolphins rising and dipping below the water body. This place inherently should be noted down on every tourists' travel journal as a must-see place.

3) House Of Goa Museum

Where to find it - Penha de França

The House of Museum is situated at Penha de franca and has a unique structure as the house is in the shape of a boat. Cool right! It was built by Gerad da Cunha to display the regional culture and the architectural history. One can find pictures of different architecture photos, even relics from old houses from the times when the Portuguese and the Dutch had their influence over the territory. There's also a small cafe for refreshments and a cute souvenir shop in the compound.

4) Fontainhas

Where to find it- Panaji

The Fontainhas is situated at the capital of Panjim in the Latin quarter. The Fontainhas was established by an Goan who made his wealth when he used to work in Mozambique. The lanes are filled with houses on both the sides with balconies in tones of various colours- a view that is mesmeric to the eyes. The Fontainhas represent the traditional Portuguese influence in the area. This place is a beautiful place to take a stroll and enjoy. If you are a person who loves to click aesthetic photos for the gram or your portfolio, then don't miss out on visiting Fontainhas.

5) Kakolem Beach

Where to find it - Cancona

Kakolem beach or which is also known as the Tiger's beach is located just about 7 km to south from the Cabo de Rama resort. To reach this beach one has to walk from up the hill to the beach as one cannot take any vehicle down, so it sort of becomes like a small trek. This beach is one of the isolated and wild beaches in Goa. One must note that when visiting this place they have to carry their own eatables and drinking water as there are no shacks available on the beach. It offers a good view and it's a good place to chill out due to its quiet ambience. If you are a person who came to Goa seeking calm and peace, then this is the stop for you.
