This week, book-lovers in Goa will get a chance to meet an award-winning playwright, while those interested in the world of international trade will be able to attend an export workshop.
‘MEET THE AUTHOR’ IN MARGAO
The Dogears Bookshop, Margao, presents a ‘Meet the Author’ session on June 26, 2024, featuring Dr Tanvi Kamat Bambolkar, who will be in conversation with Dr Omkar Bhatkar.
A scholar in Film Theory, Culture Studies, and Gender Studies, Dr Omkar Bhatkar runs a theatre group known as Metamorphosis Theatre Inc. His work focuses largely on Poetry in Motion, Existentialist Themes and contemporary French plays in translation.
He will be in conversation with award-winning poet, playwright and short story writer, Dr Tanvi Kamat Bambolkar, who will talk about her published play, Cinema Mon Amour.
Cinema Mon Amour is the story of a ruined relationship, and a reflection of the heartaches and irreparable losses that follow. The story is a conversation on life via cinema and cinema via life.
Cinema Mon Amour is available in English and French, and the author, Dr Tanvi Kamat Bambolkar, will also sign copies of the same at the venue.

WTC’s EXPORT WORKSHOP
If you’re interested in the world of business, and exports, in particular, here’s a workshop you should attend.
The World Trade Center Goa, Panjim, presents ‘Exports Plus 2024: Minimizing Risk - Maximizing Returns’ on June 26, 2024.
The faculty for the workshop will be Satish Kota, who is the founder & CEO of Bangaluru based NavaTies, International Trade and Engagement Platform, who will discuss a variety of subjects connected with exports.
Topics to be covered during the workshop:
Preparing for exports
Identifying export risks
Analysing to enter new markets for products
Opportunities for service industries
The workshop is open to the general public. While there are no participation fees, registration is compulsory.
