Every dish has a story behind it. And, who better than the chef to tell us about it. Chef Avinash Martins, who is an acclaimed culinary genius and runs Cavatina in Benaulim, does this with elan.

St. Regis Goa Resort is tapping Martin’s culinary brilliance with its ‘A Goan Rendezvous’, which will take you on a gastronomical adventure never experienced by you before on July 7, 2024 (Sunday). You can venture on this gourmet journey at Miri – the all-day dining restaurant at The St. Regis Goa Resort.

DOWN THE CULINARY LANE: Goa's St Regis is getting ready take diners down the aromatic culinary corridor on Sunday.

And, Martin is not just another chef. This former Hotel Oberoi chef has many feathers in his cap – from winning the ‘TOP Restaurant Awards 2023’ by Conde Nast Traveller to being voted as one of the FoodSuperStars of 2023 by Culinary Culture, Martin’s been the culinary maven all the way.

"As a Goan at heart with a global soul, I am delighted to collaborate with The St. Regis Goa Resort for this special culinary event. This is an opportunity to showcase the vibrant flavours and cultural richness of Goa through my culinary creations,” says the diehard Goan.

The culinary-man suffuses passion in his words as he adds; “each dish reflects my passion for storytelling through food, combining traditional Goan ingredients with innovative techniques to offer guests a truly unforgettable dining experience. I look forward to sharing my culinary journey and celebrating the diversity of Goan cuisine with diners at The St. Regis Goa Resort".

At the Goan Rendezvous, Martin’s “culinary artistry” will be at display. It promises to take diners on a gastronomical journey of culinary tradition and innovation as the chef acquaints them with Goa’s rich culinary heritage.

FUSION CUISINE: There'll be a lot of 'Poder Story' and 'Saby's Melody' at the Sunday brunch.

Martin has a distinct knack of fusing Goa’s culinary past with innovation, through which are born his signature dishes – the “Poder Story" with Pao de quesso and fig onion jam, and "Saby's Melody of the Coconut Trees" with tender coconut carpaccio to name a few.

The Sunday brunch will be a perfect setting to embark on a sensory tour of diverse flavours and rich aromas from across India, hand-picked delights from the Middle East and a show stopping gastronomy selection from South East Asia.

All complemented by special curations for Vegans and exclusive Vegetarian guests, elevated by live cooking stations attending to “a là minute” specialties.

“Join as for an extraordinary affair of a culinary expedition where every dish has a story to narrate and tantalize your taste buds; all enhanced with a live performance by AS It is and special serving of MIKIAMO Limoncello at the bar,” says the statement of St. Regis Resort in Goa.
