Who doesn’t love good music? And, if you want to witness some of Goa’s fine vocal talent, mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 13, 2024, when Bar de Goa will be the venue of the grand finale of ‘The Superstar Karaoke Competition’.

Seby will be the host of the vibrant karaoke competition which will be held at Bar de Goa. This year’s event, which has already witnessed quite a number of participants, is the second edition of the competition, following a successful debut last year.
Gilbert and Marcia, the owners of Bar de Goa, have organised the competition so as to provide a platform for aspiring singers to showcase their talents and connect with others who share their passion for music.
Since its inception last year, the event has grown significantly, drawing more participants and increasing its popularity.
ABOUT THE PARTICIPANTS
The competition has seen enthusiastic participation across its three rounds. In the initial round, there were 10 entries, followed by another 10 in the second round, and a notable increase to 21 entries in the third round.
The event has also attracted a wide age range of participants, ranging in age from 19-years-old to a seasoned 72-year-old, highlighting the diversity and inclusivity of the competition.
This year’s competition has seen 22 male and 15 female participants, with some contestants appearing in multiple rounds, adding to the dynamic nature of the event.
EXPERT PANEL
The panel of judges, comprising notable members of the music community, has played a key role in evaluating the performances.
The judging roster has so far included Ancy and Alison on July 16; Caridad and Larina on July 23; Manisha and Nikhil on July 30; Erol, Lavina, Noel on August (semi-finals). Their expertise has been priceless in assessing the talent at the competition.
The winner of the competition will walk away with Rs 20,000. The second prize gets Rs 10,000, while the third prize is a hamper. Attractive gifts also await all the finalists.
The finals to be held at Bar de Goa, are open to the public, and no entry fee is required. While enjoying the performances, attendees can also dine on the delicious food and drinks available at the venue.
