The Photo Journalists Association Goa (PJAG) is organising its annual photo contest for the year 2023. The contest is open to the general public in 2 categories: General Category and Student Category.
GENERAL CATEGORY
Theme for photos in the General Category: ‘Heritage of Goa’
For the General Category, pictures must include the participant’s name, address, phone number and e-mail. Pictures must be uploaded in JPEG format with high quality compression.
STUDENT CATEGORY
Theme for photos in the Student Category: ‘Beautiful Streets of Goa’
For the Student Category, the name of the student, name of school along with address, phone number/e-mail id should be included along with the entry.

1st Prize: ₹ 5,000
2nd Prize: ₹ 4,000
3rd Prize: ₹ 3,000
School Category:
1st Prize: ₹ 4,000
2nd Prize: ₹ 3,000
3rd Prize: ₹ 2,000
In addition, all winners will receive a PJAG trophy and certificate.
RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS
Each participant is permitted to submit a maximum of four photographs, which may be clicked by a digital camera or mobile phone. Photos taken using drones will not be accepted.
Entries should be only single exposure or single frame pictures. Any colour adjustments or conversion to grayscale should not alter the photograph. All photos should include captions (in English).
The best entries will be exhibited on the World Photography Day, August 19, 2023. Winners will receive their prizes at a function held in association with the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Goa.
