Eager to know about mangroves and more? Head to Chorão this Sunday, as the Goa Forest Department in collaboration with WWF India will be presenting ‘Birding and Mangrove Trail at Chorao Island’. Participants will get a chance to visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, at Chorão Island. The event has two trails — a bird safari (with Goa Forest Department boats) and a mangrove walk.
This event is part of Shorelore 2022 campaign — Coastal excursions and awareness sessions — and aims to sensitise participants to the importance of marine biodiversity and its conservation. The campaign will throw light on Goa’s mangroves, coastal birds, tidepools, and coastal flora and fauna.
