Get a glimpse of a Goan heritage village through the 'Bonderachim Pasoi'

This year, the festive walk 'Bonderachim Pasoi' will be held on August 19, 2023 and will begin at St Mathias Sports Club, Malar, Divar

Get ready to discover and learn about one of Goa's heritage villages, Malar, in Divar, as the traditional flag festival, Bonderam, is all set to take place on August 19, 2023.

Before the traditional floats begin, there will be 'Bonderachim millet workshop' which will be conducted by the Goa Agriculture College, Old Goa, as part of the UN International Year of Millets. The workshop will be held from 11 am to 12 noon. This will be followed by the traditional 'Bonderachem Jevon'.

The 'Bonderachem Jevon' will give participants of the festival a taste of the local Goan flavours and food. Participants can relish Goan cuisine from 12 noon to 1.30 pm.

The Bonderachim Pasoi will be led by the traditional brass band and flag barriers. The pasoi will start from 2 pm to 4 pm.

During this walk, participants can get to witness the life of the people of Malar village, learn about its stories and people, marvel at the heritage of the place and know about the local culture.

This walk will be accompanied by brass band music and traditional snacks.
