Dining 160 feet in the air, in Goa

A high flying dining experience, which combines fine dining with adventure, is not for the faint-hearted

Joaquina Fernandes

The 160-foot-high floating-in-the-sky dining experience combines breathtaking views of the state's gorgeous coast with the five-star resort's luxury dining..... Devi Prasad and Vinay Kasetty co-founded Vindev Adventure Hospitality, which is now known as Fly Dining at Grand Hyatt, Bambolim.

A three-course meal experience is offered for breakfast, high tea, sundowners and dinner, with food prepared by the Grand Hyatt Goa's skilled culinary team.

The event has a maximum capacity of 24 seats and includes live music performances as well as a four-person service team to ensure a safe and pleasant experience. People above the age of 12 and with a height of 143 cm are permitted on-board.

Fly Dining was created according to German safety standards (EN 13814) as well as international standards (ISO 17842-2015). Expert engineers designed and built the platform, as well as its safety features, which included everything from seat belts to the type of crane utilised, all of which were thoroughly scrutinised and tested to assure maximum safety. Throughout the event, both workers and customers wear strong safety harnesses.

Several safety organisations throughout the world have certified Fly Dining, including TUV Rheinland in Germany, the British Safety Council in the United Kingdom, and the American Society for Testing and Materials International in the United States.
