PARTICIPATE IN KONKAN FRUIT FEST
This weekend, get ready to witness the much-awaited summer fest, Konkan Fruit Fest, which will be held from April 21 to 23, 2023, at Francisco Luis Gomes Garden from 10 am to 8 pm.
The fest is being held with the Agricos Alumni Association who will be joining in for the first time.
During the three-day fest, visitors will get a glimpse of various fruits, flowers and plants and also products and items made from them. There will be also plants for sale and various competitions for the audience to participate.
There will be a ‘Bee Honey Competition' which is open to all. Participants will have to produce home-made honey in a jar and among the two categories – Apis Cerana Indica and Trigona Spp – the best will win the competition. To know more contact: 9765509430 / 8390113019.
Various government agencies including the Directorate of Agriculture, the Goa College of Agriculture, RCPR School of Agriculture, Kamaxi College of Hospitality, nurserymen, manufacturers of fruit products and others are expected to participate in this event which involves fresh fruit, fruit products, cooking and fruit eating competitions.
There will be various stalls of which one will be by the 'University of Life' startups which will have natural ice-creams, organic watermelons, syrups, cashew apple candies, organic and traditional sun-cooked pickles, edible kokum, butter biproducts, woodstove roasted cashew, solar dried no-boil turmeric powder and much more.
