SHORELORE 2022

Eager to know about mangroves and more? Head to Chorão this Sunday, as the Goa Forest Department in collaboration with WWF India will be presenting ‘Birding and Mangrove Trail at Chorao Island’. Participants will get a chance to visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, at Chorão Island. The highlights of the event are the two trails — a bird safari (replete with Goa Forest Department boats) and a mangrove walk.

This event is part of the Shorelore 2022 campaign — coastal excursions and awareness sessions — and aims to sensitise participants on the importance of marine biodiversity and its conservation. The campaign will throw light on Goa’s mangroves, coastal birds, tidepools, and coastal flora and fauna.
