From fiery Chettinad curries to coastal seafood specialties, each bite is a symphony of regional delights.

At Tanjore Tiffin Room start with some mocktail magic!

Stepping inside is like entering a peaceful sanctuary with greenery and natural light creating a welcoming tropical vibe, perfectly balanced for a relaxed dining experience. But the surprises don’t stop there.

The century-old Indo-Portuguese house housing the other seating area features a bold, modern design that’s sure to awe you with its striking interiors.

LET’S GET STARTED!

The culinary journey begins with simple delights. The kambli papad, a wafer-thin crunchy delight sprinkled with masala and spice, and the malagapodi, mini gunpowder idlis mixed with ghee and sesame seeds, tease your taste buds for what’s to come.

For those who love a bit of heat, Padmini’s Mutton Cutlet is a must-try. Moist, soft and explosively spicy, this home-style Tamilian dish promises authentic flavours.

A wide range of starters that include kambli papad, mini gunpowder idlis, Padmini’s mutton cutlet and more.

One can try the paniyaram, dosa batter transformed into bite-sized treasures. They were particularly impressive as the chili cheese paniyaraam were with gooey cheese and the Madurai Chicken paniyaraam, had the spicy notes adding to the humbleness of the dish.

MEAT-TIME

And then came the Tanjore’s Birria Tacos! Imagine crispy pan-fried tacos filled with fall-apart tender chuck roast braised in a mildly spicy and sweet sauce. It had an acquired taste and a bit of pepper.

Well, their Ceylon Black Pork too came as surprise! It had succulent pieces of pork coated in an intricate curry paste with hints of cloves, cardamom and black pepper. It seemed like a very complex dish that had all the flavours but yet was very homey.

At TTR, you can also look forward to trying their prawn sundal, a refreshing dish which contains prawn and shredded coconut. A very light and comforting dish, perfect counterpoint to the fiery starters.

WAIT! THERE IS MORE

Just when you think you’ve reached the peak, the Madras Tiger Prawns arrive. These fiery prawns are a true explosion of flavour. The complex spice symphony seamlessly intermingles with the sweetness of the succulent prawns, each bite had a punch of spice and sea.

No South Indian meal is complete without rice! TTR offers a variety of options, from the famous lemon curry and coconut rice to tamarind rice and ghee roast. We especially loved the aromatic mildly spicy coconut curry and the lemon rice. And for a Goan touch, TTR also offers a chonak curry.

The Tanjore Tiffin Room experience was a delightful one. The food was not just homey but authentic to its origin. The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was a unique blend of traditional and modern.

Whether you’re a seasoned South Indian food connoisseur or simply curious to explore new flavours, Tanjore Tiffin Room is a must-visit in Goa.
