Hunger pangs in Goa call for a steak at these 2 eateries

Succulent and juicy, stake your cravings down by visiting either of these restaurants in Goa

Katia Goes

Mashed potato, creamy mushroom sauce, vegetables on the side and a big glass of wine; we may have missed out the sizzling hot main ingredient, but you already know what it is, don’t you?

That’s right, it’s a steak! Chicken, beef or pulled pork, Goa’s steak menu promises a symphony of flavours that will have you returning for more in no time.

Steaks are great, but your cravings don’t have to be at stake – here are two places in Goa that are known for their delicious food and steaks that stand out among the rest of the eatables on the menu.

Dandey's Grill House, Sangolda

Tucked away in Sangolda, Dandey's is well-known for its steaks and sizzlers that make it to your table in no time.

With its pleasant ambience and great choice of food, getting a seat at Dandey's is sometimes a task, but always worth the wait.

DANDEY'S CALLING: Head to Sangolda to feast on this chicken steak at Dandey's Grill House.

Right from the kitchen to your table, the sizzling hot plate consists of the steak of your choice, which is accompanied by either mashed potatoes or French fries, a slice of cheese, garlic bread, boiled vegetables and a creamy sauce that brings the dish together.

Other options on the menu include chicken, beef and pork steaks such as Chicken Steak in Pepper Sauce, Beef Peri Peri Steak and Pork Rib in Chilly Garlic Sauce.

Low and Slow, Goa Velha

Situated in the village of Goa Velha in Tiswadi, Low and Slow speaks for itself, and as the name suggests, the meat here is cooked low, slow and tender enough to melt in your mouth minutes after you’ve taken a bite.

Settle down into the quiet of the evening as the pitter patter of the raindrops drown out the sound of the meat sizzling in the kitchen.

As for choice and variety, the quirky names on the menu at Low and Slow include Beachside Bird, Surf and Turf, Million Dollar Tenderloin, Pork Tenderloin and the Low and Slow Chicken Steak. And, the only way to know what these are made of is to visit and find out for yourself!
