Two interesting sessions are in store for this Sunday in Goa. The first addresses the construction chaos that the state has been witnessing over the years.
The second is a workshop on some exotic Goan dishes, with vegetarian alternatives so that Goan cuisine can be enjoyed by all, irrespective of their culinary preferences.
THE DOWNFALL OF GOA'S LAND PLANNING
Land is a resource in Goa which is increasingly under threat. And, it’s always in the news at this time of year owing to the flooding in various parts of the State and in urban areas like Panjim.

Arch Tahir Noronha and Dr Solano Da Silva will be the resource persons for the session, which will focus on understanding how land use planning shapes our lives and our future. They will also answer participants’ queries on the subject.
Tahir Noronha is an architect and urban planner, currently working on his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley, USA, while Dr Solano Da Silva is an assistant professor at BITS-Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus and has a background in Development Studies and Political Studies.
The event is open to the general public.
