Brushing aside the monsoon season, most of the tiatr directors come up with their new releases only on Easter Sunday, and thereafter, in the month of October.

But lately, a handful of tiatr directors show willingness in taking the plunge during the monsoon season as well, carrying with them a big cast and huge stage sets. And, the monsoon releases are feasible only in city auditoriums.

Generally, new 'tiatrs', are released only on Easter Sunday or in the month of October in Goa

In the past, Gonsalves’ productions have been well accepted by audiences, and tiatr-lovers have always awaited his new releases, which will be different from the others.

“This tiatr is a notch or two higher than the previous one,” mentions Gonsalves, “It’s for the audience to judge. Love is redefined…”

“To help in the growth of tiatr,” he continued, “efforts have always been there to raise the standard of the script and the presentation.”

After the successful shows of 8 earlier tiatrs, Goy Goykaranchem, Modhli Vatt, Revolution, ICU Bed No 2, Omor Mogachi Kanni, Goodbye Papa, Goenche Fuddari and Jivitak Fuddo Kor, Gonsalves is all set to entertain the audience with his 9th production.

Gonsalves said that his new tiatr carries a totally different and unusual storyline and the comedy, too, will tickle the funny bone of the tiatr lovers. “Efforts have been made to bring in a variety of songs in different categories,” he added.

DEBUTS AND MORE

Comedian Brian’s first production on the Konkani stage, Mhoji Khori Maim will have the sensational Telugu, Kannada and Konkani film actress, Esther Noronha, for the first time in tiatr. Besides the noted actors of the Konkani stage, comedian Ambe, Ben, Rizton and Joyel will come together and the foursome will tickle the funny bone of the audience.

Comedian Brian’s parents Peter/Roshan and his brother, Benzer, will extend their ample support to him by way of acting and singing songs. There’s also noted actor, Pradeep Naik and singer, Tony de Ribandar among the galaxy of stars of the tiatr stage.

The monsoon releases will see several firsts including a debut production, actress Esther Noronha's tiatr' debut and more

Milagres de Chandor has always welcomed amateur artistes in all his past productions and today, many, whom he introduced in his earlier tiatrs, have scaled the ladder of success.

This time around, he has introduced many newcomers and he hopes that the audience will accept their theatrical talent and skills, besides some novelty on stage.

Milagres has also roped in TV host, Candida in a challenging role, and with John D’Silva and team in the comical ring; he expects that the foursome will bring in a laughter riot among the audience.

Likewise, Constantino Crasto’s monsoon tiatr, Dis ani Rat, has Antonette de Maina in the lead role and she is definitely an audience puller.

Apart from noted actors of the Konkani stage, he has also roped in many professional singers, who will entertain with a good number of songs, and the entire entertainment on stage will be worth the price of the ticket.
